AUSTRALIA - A colony of little penguins on Mistaken Island near Albany, Western Australia, is being
used to monitor the health of the ocean in light of a substantial
dredging program that is due to commence in Albany Harbour early next
year.
The citizen science project, led by the WA Conservation Council, gathered some initial data in mid-October and will continue through the before, during and after phases of the dredging program.
