About me

Gentoo penguin at
Melbourne Aquarium
I'm an armchair penguinologist from New Zealand (which some would argue is the penguin capital of the world).

I've always been fascinated by penguins, but I've never formally studied them, worked with them, or even touched one. This might be a good thing as I've heard they can be quite bitey.

I say 'armchair penguinologist' because I have read many books and hundreds of news articles about the delightful tuxedoed birds. In 2003, I started my own penguin news website (Penguin People), and then moved on to updating the news page on New Zealand Penguins, and now I'm here.

So read on, fellow penguin enthusiasts! And feel free to comment on the posts - it would be great to hear from you.
